If other USB devices are working correctly on your PC, connect your mouse up to another PC to check if the mouse is working in that PC.

    1

If the mouse is also not working in the other PC, then most likely there is a hardware fault on the mouse.

    2

If the mouse is working on the other PC, open Device Manager on your PC and please provide a screenshot of the Device Manager window.

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Unplug the USB mouse, wait a little while, then plug it back in so Windows can unload and reload the device driver.
    2. Test the mouse in a different USB port on the PC.
    3. If the mouse is connected through a USB hub, remove the hub and connect the mouse directly to a USB port on the PC. If the hub is used, make sure it has power.
    4. Check the mouse cable for damage.
    5. Make sure there is no dirt blocking the mouse sensor.
    6. Test the USB mouse on another PC. If it does not work there either, the mouse may need to be replaced. Some devices also require the correct driver when tested on another PC.
    7. Check for driver updates in Windows:
      • In the taskbar search box, type check for updates and open Check for updates.
      • Under Windows Update, select Check for updates.
    8. If needed, update the device driver manually:
      • In the taskbar search box, type device manager and open Device Manager.
      • Find the mouse device in the hardware list and double-click it.
      • Open the Driver tab, select Update Driver, and follow the prompts.

Since the wireless mouse is working, the issue is more likely with the wired USB mouse, its cable, the specific USB connection path, or its driver rather than all mouse input in Windows.
