Microsoft Authenticator and Teams app

I try to login to Teams. Teams asks me for code confirmation in my Authenticator app. My Authenticator shows nothing, no matter what. I click on 'Can't use Authenticator right now' and the options you give me is both for Microsoft Authenticator.

I reinstalled Authenticator. I now try to login and in the same login process you ask me to confirm my login with the code using Authenticator. I genuinely do not understand how any of you thought this would work.

My job depends now on this. I want you to directly remove this and let me login into Teams, and this needs to be done in this next span of 60 minutes. I am unable to use anything else than your Authenticator app for my Teams login, and I can't login to your Authenticator app because I need to confirm a notification request in the Authenticator app itself????

I’m having the same issue. Recently got a new phone and deleted the data on the old one. Now when I try to sign into teams it wants me to verify the Authenticator code in the Authenticator app. But I can’t log into the Authenticator app because it also wants a code from my old phone which is no longer signed in. When I try to sign in on my old phone it also wants a code. Never ending loop and this is a work account

@NathanRoberts (SN) No, it says my browser version is not supported (and I updated my Chrome on my mobile phone on 17 Sept 2026), and my account is a work one.

I managed to confirm my teams login using Authenticator on my iPhone (that worked properly).

Android version does not display any OTP code, it does not display any notifications (even though they are enabled), genuinely could not see any of the verify requests that I should've gotten from Teams. Nothing.

Then I reinstalled Authenticator app and from that point I couldn't even login because it is somehow possible for this flow to ask me to verify my login into Authenticator using THAT SAME Authenticator. Even worse is when I try to click on 'I can't use my Authenticator app right now' in Teams login, it then offers me again two options, both of which are through Authenticator. I genuinely do not understand how any of this works.

I have solved my problem (until next time I won't be able to use my old iPhone), but now I am asking you to forward this to developers and genuinely think how to solve the whole shitfest that people have been complaining for years (yes, years - I have seen Q&A threads that are quite old and they have the same exact problem). Nothing makes sense, people aren't able to login for days, they go through the whole process of pinging their own ICT team and reading about these issues online and all of this has serious consequences regarding their job. Forward this to your dev team and open a ticket and solve this non-sense.
