MS-102 is a role-based exam, so Microsoft Learn is available during the exam.

    Key points:

    • Microsoft Learn access is available for associate and expert exams.
    • It is not available for Fundamentals exams, GitHub exams, or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams.
    • MS-102 is listed as a role-based exam for Microsoft 365 Administrator.
    • During the exam, Microsoft Learn opens from the left navigation pane in a split-screen view.
    • Access includes content in the learn.microsoft.com domain except Q&A, Practice Assessments, and the profile page.
    • No extra time is added, and the exam timer continues running while using Microsoft Learn.

So for MS-102, the exam is not fully closed book. Microsoft Learn resources are available during the exam, with the stated limitations.
