Hello Microsoft Support,

I am requesting further assistance with a serious issue I am experiencing with Microsoft Word. I have already gone through the basic troubleshooting steps, including checking the version history and looking throughout the document, and the missing content is completely gone.

I was working on a document when approximately three pages of work suddenly disappeared while I was actively working in the document. The text was not moved somewhere else, hidden, changed to a different colour, or recoverable through the version history. It was simply gone.

Because I could not recover the missing work, I spent another several hours completely rewriting those three pages. The exact same thing happened again the following day, and those pages disappeared a second time. This means I have now lost several hours of work twice because of an issue occurring within Word.

I have checked the version history, searched the document, and confirmed that the missing text is not present anywhere else. I have already tried the troubleshooting steps available to me, and none of them have resolved the issue.

At this point, I need further technical assistance rather than being directed back to the same basic troubleshooting steps. This is extremely frustrating because I am losing hours of academic work repeatedly, and I cannot continue using Word for an important document if there is a risk that my work will simply disappear again.

I would like Microsoft Support to investigate what is happening with this document and determine whether there is any way to recover the missing content or identify what is causing Word to delete it. I would also like to know what Microsoft can do to prevent this from happening again.

Please escalate this issue if necessary. I need an actual resolution, as I cannot reasonably be expected to continue rewriting the same work every time Word loses it.

Thank you,

This sounds like text was selected and overtyped.

Ctrl+Z when it disappears is the remedy.
