Not surprised. Repair .NET Core Hosting Bundle and try again.
IIS 10.0.19041.1 and .Net 5 Core Test App
I have a machine running IIS 10 and I am trying to publish a very simple .NET 5 test app to it. A few steps I took:
enabled IIS (Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off -> IIS)
-> FTP Service
-> IIS Management Console
-> IIS Management Scripts and Tools
-> IIS Management Service
-> .NET Extensibility 4.8
-> ASP.NET 4.8
-> ISAPI Extensions
-> ISAPI Filters
-> WebSocket Protocol
-> all Common HTTP Features
-> all Performance Features
-> all Security
installed .NET Core Hosting Bundle
created a folder under Websites\Net5
created an AppPool Net5AppPool (No Managed Code, Integrated, ApplicationPoolIdentity)
assigned Net5AppPool Full Control under Security (IIS AppPool\Net5AppPool -> check name)
created a site Net5 (Net5AppPool, http:*:80:, Websites\Net5)
using Visual Studio 2019 created a simple test app
published app to server using Folder
Locally there are no errors. The app runs fine.
Published to Folder with no errors.
Launch the website on server (Windows 10) and get HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error (0x8007000d)
I do not see the ASPNETCOREMODULEV2 on the server. Not listed under IIS or Site Module.
There are two aspnetcorev2_inprocess.dll's:
Program Files\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.AspNetCore.App\5.0.11
Program Files (x86)\dotnet\shared\Microsoft.AspNetCore.App\5.0.11
Any help is appreciated.
