Microsoft Print To PDF Problems

Question

Ever since the last MS update (2026-09 Security Update (KB5129195) (26200.9457)) I can't print to PDF. The print option Microsoft Print To PDF is there but when selected and I click on print, nothing happens. Had this problem couple of days ago as well. Went in Windows Features & saw Microsoft Print To PDF was turned on. Turned it off, exited, went back in, turned it on, exited, rebooted & it worked. Went in today & it's not working again. Read this is a known problem in similar complaint in March 2026 & a fix was being introduced by Microsoft within days of that complaint but it is still not working for me. Have automatic Windows Update turned on my computer., Please advise and thank you...

It's a known issue. No fix has been released yet.

154	In Microsoft Edge version 154, some users may experience printing failures when attempting to print from Microsoft Edge, including through both the standard print experience (Ctrl+P) and the Windows system print dialog (Ctrl+Shift+P). Symptoms include print dialogs failing to appear, closing unexpectedly, or printing operations failing with error messages, exclusively when using the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer.

• Customers using the Microsoft Edge standard print experience (Ctrl+P) can choose the "Save As PDF" printer instead of choosing the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer. This workaround is not applicable to the Windows system print dialog (Ctrl+Shift+P).
• Customers experiencing this issue can also temporarily roll back to Microsoft Edge version 153.
