Hello,

I'm trying to use my files with onedrive, but I'm not able to synchronize them. I deleted the app several times, and it's still not working.

    What’s your macOS version?

have you tried completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it from Microsoft instead?

Try this sequence on the Mac:

    1. Unlink OneDrive
      • Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the menu bar.
      • Go to Help & Settings > Preferences > Account.
      • Select Unlink this Mac.
    2. Clear cached sign-in credentials
      • Open Spotlight, search for Keychain Access, and open it.
      • Search for OneDrive.
      • Delete OneDrive Cached Credential.
    3. Sign in again and re-link the existing folder
      • Open OneDrive from Spotlight.
      • When prompted that a folder already exists, select Use this folder.
      • OneDrive will sync files and folders back to the Mac. It may take some time.
    4. Update OneDrive to the latest version
      • Install the latest OneDrive app if needed. If the latest version is already installed, the installer ends automatically.
    5. If sync is stuck on “Processing changes”
      • Open OneDrive settings from the cloud icon.
      • Select Pause syncing.
      • Move one file out of a OneDrive sync folder to a folder outside OneDrive.
      • Select Resume syncing...
      • After sync completes, move the file back.
    6. If it still fails, reset OneDrive
      • Resetting OneDrive can resolve sync issues and triggers a full sync.
      • It disconnects existing sync connections, but files and data are not lost.
    7. If Desktop or Documents backup is involved
      • Use the standalone sync app, not the Mac App Store version.
      • In macOS, enable Full Disk Access for OneDrive under System Preferences > Security & Privacy Preferences > Privacy.
    8. If reinstalling again is needed
      • Reinstalling OneDrive resets all OneDrive settings and performs a full sync.
      • Files are not lost by uninstalling OneDrive.

If the issue continues after these steps, use Contact Microsoft Support for personal accounts, or contact the organization’s IT helpdesk for work or school accounts.
