What is normal traffic size at sharepoint 2016 server

Hi,
I am responsible for maintaining a sharepoint 2016 site and on-prem servers are installed at client end, Few days back they informed me that servers are generating traffic around 20 GB is that something completely abnormal or in SharePoint its ordinary to have that size of traffic?

I have customiations also through Rest API calls and they claiming that a singly API is being called 20K times in a day is that possible to do that in shrepoint server?

    It should depend on how many people visited your site. If your site is used by a large amount of people everyday, it may be large.

    For a singly API being called 20K times in a day, you could check if is normal in the before. If suddenly this happens, could it be some developers in a infinite loop and call the api repeatly?
