Title: Copilot App HTML-Encoding Code Input

Description:

The Copilot app is incorrectly HTML-encoding code and text input.

Examples:

Typed:

1 < 2

Received by Copilot as:

1 & lt; 2

Google Apps Script code is also being transformed:

for (let i = 0; i < 10; i++) {

  Logger.log(i);

}

becomes:

for (let i = 0; i & lt; 10; i++) {

}

Code blocks additionally contain literal <br> tags that were not present in the source code.

This issue started suddenly after several days of normal code pasting and makes reviewing and editing code difficult.

Platform: Copilot App for macOS

Impact: Code submitted to Copilot is altered before processing, affecting JavaScript, Google Apps Script, and other programming languages.
