Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

Look for Microsoft 365, click on the three dots. Choose Modify, then choose Online Repair.

If Online Repair doesn't help, uninstall it.

    Restart the computer.

    Then reinstall.

    Please go to https://www.office.com

Sign into the Microsoft account you used for the subscription. Click on the 9-dot icon on the upper left > More apps.

Then on the upper right, click on "Install apps". This will now download the installer file. Once downloaded, click on the file to install. It will install the Desktop version of the apps for you then.

    See if it helps.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Restart Windows, then try Excel again.
    2. Start Excel in Safe Mode to check whether an add-in or startup item is blocking it:
      • Press Windows + R
      • Type excel /safe
      • Press Enter
      • If Excel opens in Safe Mode, the issue is likely caused by something Excel loads at startup.
    3. Check Excel startup folders, because a workbook in one of these folders can stop Excel from opening correctly.
      • For the XLStart folder:
        • Open File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations
        • Note the XLStart path
        • Move any files from that folder to another folder
        • Start Excel normally
      • For an alternate startup folder:
        • Open File > Options > Advanced
        • Under General, check At Startup, open all files in
        • Move any files from that folder to another folder
        • Start Excel normally
      • If Excel works after that, move the files back one at a time to find the file causing the problem.
    4. Repair Office.
      • In Windows 10/11: right-click Start and open Installed apps or Apps and Features
      • Select Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365
      • Choose Modify
      • First try Quick Repair
      • If that does not fix it, run Online Repair
    5. If Excel opens only in Safe Mode, disable add-ins:
      • In Excel, go to File > Options > Add-ins
      • At the bottom, choose COM Add-ins in Manage
      • Select Go
      • Clear the add-ins, then restart Excel normally

Note: Online Repair repairs the full Office suite and can take longer, but it is more thorough than Quick Repair.
