Open Windows 11’s Get Help app with the keyboard and request a live support chat without needing the missing cursor.

Contact live support using only the keyboard

    1. Press the Windows key.
    2. Type Get Help, then press Enter.
    3. Press Tab until the search box receives focus.
    4. Type cursor disappeared after Windows Update, then press Enter.
    5. Move through the results with Tab. If suggested fixes appear, continue until Contact Support is selected, then press Enter.
    6. At Select your product or service, choose Windows using the arrow keys, then press Enter.
    7. Select the closest support category and move to Confirm with Tab; press Enter.
    8. Select Chat with a support agent in your web browser, confirm the contact details, and press Enter to open the chat. Microsoft documents this complete keyboard-navigation route for Windows 11.^1^

Chat availability varies by operating hours, issue, and subscription. If chat is not offered, Get Help may instead offer a support-agent callback.^2^

If the app cannot connect, open Microsoft’s official support page on another device and select Get help; the available contact methods may include chat.^3^

Conditional fallback: remove the latest update

Since the cursor disappeared directly after an update, removing that update is a targeted fallback—not another repeat of general cursor troubleshooting.

Removing a security update can reduce protection, and some updates cannot be uninstalled. Microsoft recommends trying a Windows 11 repair reinstall before uninstalling a security update.^4^

If support advises rollback, use the keyboard:

    1. Press Windows+I to open Settings.
    2. Use Tab and the arrow keys to select Windows Update.
    3. Select Update history.
    4. Under Related settings, select Uninstall updates.
    5. Select the newest update installed immediately before the cursor disappeared.
    6. Choose Uninstall, restart Windows, and check whether the pointer returns.^4^

Do not remove an update merely because it is recent; match its installation date to when the cursor disappeared. Tell the support agent that this has happened after updates four times and provide the KB number shown in Update history.
