Web onenote did not sync work

I did some work on the web version of onenote, then closed my laptop. I then had onenote sitting in a tab for ~45 minutes, before closing my laptop again. I never closed onenote, restarted my computer, or shut it down. Despite this, all of my work was deleted, and cannot be found in version history, temp files, nor backup files. Is there a way to get my work back?
