I can't send emails but I can receive emails. My storage is not full. How do I fix my email?

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Verify the account is not blocked and the password is current.
      • If the password was changed recently, update it.
      • Outlook.com can temporarily block sending if unusual sign-in activity is detected. Use the account unblock flow if needed.
    2. Check for a stuck message.
      • Open Drafts and Outbox.
      • If a message is stuck there, remove it or resend it.
    3. Check attachment size.
      • If the message has an attachment larger than 25 MB, it will not send.
      • Remove the attachment, use a smaller file, or upload the file to OneDrive and attach a link instead.
    4. Make sure the inbox is not full.
      • Even if cloud storage is not full, a full inbox can prevent sending and receiving.
      • Empty Junk Email to free space if needed.
    5. Reset the sending configuration in Outlook on the web.
      • Go to Settings > Mail > Sync email and confirm the sending address under From is correct.
      • Then go to Settings > Mail > Compose and reply and reset the default From address.
    6. Refresh the web session.
      • Clear the browser cache or try another browser.
      • Sign out, then sign back in.
    7. If using Outlook on PC or Mac with the Outlook.com account, run Send/Receive > Send/Receive all folders.

If messages were sent to the account while storage was previously full, those messages are bounced back to the sender and are unrecoverable. They must be resent after space is available.
