Hi, I have created a Teams App which can be added in a meeting. Once I click on "Present", the app is shared with all the participants in the meeting but it seems like each participant has their own version of the app. Any navigation done by me does not reflect for the other participants. I cannot use screen sharing since I am running a different app on the sidebar and I need to be able to see both these apps side-by-side. Can someone help me with this? I have some other questions as well.

I am sharing the steps to reproduce and the necessary screenshots :

Schedule a meeting in Teams calendar.

Edit the meeting and add the Teams app by clicking the "+" icon.

Join the meeting.

Click on the tab - app is loaded in side panel.

Click on "Start Presenting" available in the side panel.

App is shared with all participants.

Navigate around the app by clicking the links available in the menu.

It is observed that when organizer navigates to a different page, the participants are still able to see the home page.

Similarly it is observed that when a participant navigates to a different page, the organizer is still able to see the home page.

Desired behaviour is that whenever the organizer or participant navigate around the app, everybody on the call is seeing the same page of the app.

Same behaviour is observed even if the app is added from within the meeting.

The Teams app itself is a simple React component which is a wrapper around a web app. I am attaching the code for the same. This component contains an input box for user to provide a URL and on click of Save button, the provided URL is loaded. For my testing, I am using the URL : https://d167k7e3ccsbk.cloudfront.net

Yes, this is expected behavior. It is not a screen share but an app share scenario where it is nothing but a loaded website for each participant and everyone gets their own view of the website.

Thanks for getting back with the update.

Our use case is such that we want to have one app that all participants can see (similar to screen sharing) and another app that only the organizer is able to see in the side panel. This second app contains information that we do not want clients to see. We are not able to achieve this using the screen sharing option because then clients would be able to see everything.

Could you please take this as a feature request and add it in your roadmap? You could introduce a configuration in the manifest json to indicate if we want separate instances for each user (behavior today) or a single instance that all participants are able to follow (similar to screen share). I think that such a configuration will benefit other users as well to support some other use cases.
