I'm subscribed to Microsoft 365 Family account. I just got the message "You've reached your Tasks [PREVIEW] limit. I have no active scheduled tasks. I've only used Copilot through Chat on Edge. My plan should be unlimited, or at least much more than I've used it. How do I fix this?

According to Microsoft's official documentation, Copilot Chat and task-based AI features have separate usage limits, which may vary depending on the subscription, feature, and system conditions. Therefore, having no active scheduled tasks does not necessarily indicate that your Tasks Preview allowance has not been reached.

However, since you mentioned using only regular chat, I'd like to clarify two things: Does the "You've reached your Tasks [PREVIEW] limit" message appear only when opening the Tasks section, or does it prevent you from using regular Copilot Chat as well? Also, are you the Microsoft 365 Family subscription owner, or is the subscription shared with you? Microsoft confirms that AI subscription benefits are available to the subscription owner and are not shared with other family members. You can review the official explanation here:

I recommend signing out of Copilot completely and signing back in using the Microsoft account that owns your Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Then check https://account.microsoft.com/services to verify your subscription and available AI usage information.
