A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
Create a new identity validation request; a failed email-verification request cannot be resubmitted, and Microsoft cannot resend a verification link for that request.^1^
Recreate the request
- In the Azure portal, open the existing Artifact Signing account.
- Select Objects → Identity validations.
- Delete the failed identity validation request.
- Select Organization → New Identity, then choose Public or Private to match the certificate profile you intend to create.
- Enter the identity information again and select Create. You need the Artifact Signing Identity Verifier role to perform this operation.^2^
- Confirm that the primary email:
- Is a monitored mailbox on a domain owned by the legal business entity.
- Is not a distribution list.
- Accepts messages from external senders and messages containing links.
- Check spam, quarantine, firewall, and link-filtering policies. Open the new verification email within seven days; expired links cannot be resent.^1^
You do not need to create another Artifact Signing account; identity validations are available at the subscription level and can be shared among Artifact Signing accounts in that subscription.^2^
When support is required
Contact Azure Support instead of repeatedly creating requests if:
- A validation for the same organization already exists and the new request must use a different primary email address.
- The replacement request also reports email-verification failure even though the mailbox receives external messages containing links.
- The current request is still In Progress. Creating duplicate requests for the same entity does not accelerate validation.^1^
Provide the identity validation ID and relevant timestamps privately through the support case; do not post subscription, tenant, or validation identifiers publicly.
