Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hi Paul,
You are certainly not the only non technical founder who has landed in the portal and wondered where to start.
A good first step is the Microsoft for Startups portal. From there you can review your account, manage your startup profile/team and see or activate the benefits available to you, including Azure credits. Microsoft’s getting started guide also provides an overview of what happens after joining. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/startups/microsoft-for-startups/getting-started-mfs
For general programme/account help, there is also a support route from within the portal. Microsoft documents this as:
Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal then select the ? icon in the top right.
Select Submit a Support Ticket if the FAQs don’t resolve your question. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/startups/microsoft-for-startups/mfs-portal
I'd suggest starting with the account/programme orientation before moving to the individual Azure services such as Azure Functions. Once you know what you're trying to build, the technical pieces become much easier to map out.
Microsoft also has a dedicated Getting Started with Microsoft for Startups guide that is worth working through first. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/startups/microsoft-for-startups/getting-started-mfs
Also there is Microsoft Learn which is a self learn, hands on traning platform that has really helped me when I was starting.

Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction and off to a great start.
