Verification two step issues for reset password.

Hello,

i am currently logged into my other account. But cannot gain access to my main personal account. Try to do step verification code to reset password over 1 week now. Spoken to agent and supervisor called to wait 48 hours I done this. Still doesn’t work it is same issues!

I need to gain access to my account today urgently. Need this resolved. Wasted my time last week for same issues.

Have you tried the Account Recovery Form?

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

i did do this, this was response… I am really stuck how to get back into my account.

looks like you just used the Microsoft account recovery form (https://account.live.com/acsr?mkt=en-GB) to request a password reset for ******@outlook.com. Because you've turned on two-step verification for your account, we ignore these requests but wanted to let you know.

I will never trust two step verification code again. It’s shocking.

Please advise I need this sort ASAP I go on holiday next week with tickets on the email address!??

It now also says “ too many attempts try again tomorrow” after agent asked me to try do this.

so my account is now further blocked. Unbelievable taking this long to reset a password.

Which security verification methods are available when you try to verify your identity?

Do you have access to your recovery email address or authenticator app to receive a verification code? What error message do you receive when you try to verify your identity?

If the verification code is sent via SMS (Phone Number), please note that Microsoft is phasing out SMS-based verification methods. As a result, the phone number option may no longer be available for verification or during the account recovery process.

The one when they ask you for two code. The second always comes up with this message . Regardless of amount of time I have waited.

“Temporary issues with the service, try again later”

then eventually it’s says to many attempts try again tomorrow. The codes I put in are correct

If this is the situation and you have 2FA enabled, you can use the 'Account reinstatement' form instead of the standard recovery form.

Select 'I am not receiving the provided code.' and submit the form.
