is it possible to update my pc and not lose anything in it?
Update is something that should done automatically and in theory if there is no bug then there is no reason to lose anything.
I am getting the feeling that you do not mean update but upgrade. Upgrade means moving to a newer version. In theory it is like update but with a lot more changes to the system.
In order to confirm that the upgrade is supported you should check the documentation of the new version.
