Set your Microsoft account language to English, then remove and re-add the affected security email address so future security messages use the updated language.
Change the language and reset the notification address
- Sign in to your personal Microsoft account at:
https://account.microsoft.com/profile/msa-language-settings
- Set both Display language and Preferred language to English, then save the changes.
- Open:
https://account.microsoft.com/security
- Select Security → Manage how I sign in.
- Before removing anything, verify that the account has another working security method, such as a different email address or phone number. Add one if necessary.
- Find the email address receiving Spanish security notifications and remove it.
- Add that same email address again and complete its verification.
Microsoft security messages use the account language that was active when the security email or phone number was added. Re-adding the address associates it with the current English setting.^1^
Allow up to 24 hours for the change to propagate, then trigger a legitimate verification message to test it.
Important: Do not remove every security method at once. Removing all security information can place a personal Microsoft account into a restricted state for 30 days.^2^
Changing Outlook.com’s display language alone may change its menus but not existing security-notification language; the remove-and-re-add step is what resets that association.
If these messages were not requested, do not use their links or verification codes. Instead, open the Microsoft account Security page directly, review recent sign-in activity, change the password if unfamiliar activity appears, and enable two-step verification.
