    Dear Aaron Fite,

I understand you are having issues with Microsoft Authenticator. Regarding the phone number for global support, for a full list of regional numbers, you can also visit this official page: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

As a forum member like you, I don't have access to internal Microsoft systems or special escalation channels. The suggestions I provided are based on what I have observed from many similar cases I have seen in the forum community.

Moreover, according to my research, the available support options depend on the type of account you're using:

1/ If you are using a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, MSN) and can't access Microsoft Authenticator, I recommend you try the Microsoft sign-in helper tool. For more information, please refer to this article: I can't sign in to my Microsoft account

2/ If you are using a Work or School account, please get in touch with your organization's IT administrator. They can reset your Microsoft Authenticator registration, update your MFA settings, or provide an alternative sign-in method if you are locked out. For reference: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

For more information and instructions, please ask the organization's IT Admin to follow the Microsoft Official Guide here: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn

If you are using a work or school account and you are the only Global Administrator in the organization, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support, as only Microsoft Support's Data Protection team can assist with account ownership verification and administrator recovery. For more information and instructions, you can refer to this: Locked out of Admin Account because it does have a microsoft Authenitcator access

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or are stuck on any steps, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to your update

For a personal Microsoft account, request live assistance through Contact Microsoft Support, enter Microsoft Authenticator, select Get Help, and then choose Contact Support to see the available chat or callback options.^1^

    Personal Microsoft account

    1. Open Contact Microsoft Support using the link above.
    2. Enter a description such as:

Microsoft Authenticator is not working and I cannot sign in to my personal Microsoft account.

    3. Select Get Help.
    4. Scroll down and select Contact Support.
    5. Sign in with another working Microsoft account if the affected account cannot sign in.
    6. Select chat or request a call if offered. Available contact methods can depend on region, time, and issue category.

Support can troubleshoot the issue, but agents cannot send password-reset links or directly access and change account details for security reasons.^1^

Before contacting support, open Authenticator’s top-level menu and select Send feedback. This submits diagnostic logs that may help with investigation.^2^

    Work or school account

Contact your organization’s IT help desk or Microsoft 365 administrator instead. Microsoft’s Authenticator guidance directs work or school users to their IT administrator, who can investigate the account and authentication configuration.^3^

    • If another sign-in method appears, select Sign in another way and use it.
    • If no alternative method works, ask the administrator to reset or re-register your multifactor authentication.
    • If you are the organization’s only administrator and are locked out, use Microsoft’s global support phone-number route to open a business support case.^3^

Do not approve Authenticator prompts or provide verification codes that you did not initiate.
