OneDrive standalone vs OneDrive 100

Question

Hi, I'm running Windows 8.1 on my Dell 2014 desktop and I have onedrive synced to my iphone and ipad. All that is working very well.
I'm paying $AUD 3.00 per month for 100GB of space and I'm happy with that. However this month I have been billed twice this amount and my Microsoft account info tells me that I have a subscription for both onedrive standalone and onedrive +100 - it is the latter that I have been paying for many years. The onedrive standalone has just appeared in my subscription list. I have also discovered that I have onedrive business which I have not at all requested nor do I need. There is just me. I have thought of deleting the onedrive standalone subscription but am worried that I may delete all my onedrive files. So, 1) how did this appear in my subscription list; 2) how can I delete it without the deletion compromising my onedrive files; 3) why do I have a onedrive business account; 4) what am I paying the extra $AUD3 for this month? Originally MS offered 50GB of "OneDrive Standalone" for US$2 per month.
Recently, they changed the offering. Office 365 (consumer) subscribers can now get 100GB for US$2 per month, while non subscribers still get only 50GB.

MS has discovered a new way to maximize profits.

They multiple bill and early bill users for subscription products.

Multiple billing for OneDrive subscriptions is new, I just started seeing questions for it in the Answers forum this week.

On the other hand, MS has been multiple billing for Office 365 Family/Personal for a year and a half. Worst case reported is a couple of people who were billed for 365 5 times in a month, yes $500 of extra billing.

In theory you could cancel an unwanted subscription to get a refund. But in this situation, cancelling one could well cancel both, which would cause you to lose access to your files.

You can't fix the problem yourself. You have to contact MS Billing support. With recent (dis)"improvements" to the MS websites, finding contact information to MS phone support is very hard to find.

Cancel 365 subscription / Refund
MS policy still is that if you cancel less than 30 days after the subscription or renewal you are supposed to get a full refund.

We used to be able to do it in the MyAccount: https://account.microsoft.com/account site. But short while ago MS (dis)"improved" the subscription cancel. They just won't let us do it any more. PERIOD. Now you have to contact MS Support to get them to cancel it for you. But the joker in the deck is that they've made it almost impossible to contact a live support person.

Enter code, it prompts for phone number and they promise to phone back later. For what ever that is worth ... (they don't have a good reputation for doing timely call backs.

Note: a user just reported they got the error when trying to cancel a subscription that WILL BE expiring in 2 days … <sigh>

What do you need to do, make a public stink!:
• call a cop
• call your federal/state/provincial government elected / political representative
• call the better business bureau
• call an ombudsman
• contact your local newspaper,
• contact news programs ie: gopublic@cbc .ca, https://cbc.radio-canada.ca/en/ombudsman , 60min@cbsnews.com
• use MS Social media

Even though MS still advertises Office 365 as including free "Support", they have taken steps to make it much harder for users to contact live phone support. MS is relying on their "virtual attendant" aka "A.I." (Artificial Intelligence, aka Artificial Idiot) to now deflect the cost of providing live support. Tweak your support request according to your problem.

I have exactly the same question, why do 2 invoices come in the same amount at 4 day intervals?
