Document library Share function enforce unique permission at document library in SharePoint Online

Question

Hi,
When using Share function in SharePoint online to share a specific document with any user causes Unique permission at entire document library which use to inherit permission earlier from Parent site.
Want to know Microsoft article on this if any one knows about this behaviour why this happens.

As most of the link settings are used to share files to users who do not have access on the files or for the file to be easily accessible with a shared link, this feature will break the permission inheritance of the file and assigns unique permission on the file and will cause stop library inheriting permissions. So if you select "People with exisiting access can use the link" setting to share link, it won't stop library inheriting permissions.
