Tag not monitored by Microsoft.
First identify the platform that issued the certificate, because Microsoft cannot correct a certificate generated by an employer LMS, LinkedIn Learning, GitHub, or another training provider.
If it appears in your Microsoft Learn profile
Microsoft Learn normally records training-module completion as an Achievement badge; credentials are separately earned through an assessment or exam. You can identify the record under Profile → Achievements or Profile → Credentials.^1^
The available documentation confirms that Learn achievements have an AwardedOn value, but it does not confirm whether repeating this particular course should replace that value or generate a newly dated certificate.^2^ Microsoft support must therefore determine whether the old date is expected or an account-record error.
Submit a request as follows:
- Open Credentials support and select online support request.^3^
- Sign in with the same account used to complete the training.
- Select:
- Product family: Learning
- Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
- Category: the closest option for an achievement, certificate, or profile-record issue
- Type of Support: Professional No Charge
- Contact method: Email
- Include:
- Exact course title
- Course and certificate URLs
- Your Learn username from Learn profile → Settings
- Completion dates: 28 October 2026 and 30 October 2026
- The exact currently displayed date
- Screenshots showing the completed course and incorrect certificate date
- A request to verify the underlying completion record and confirm whether it can be corrected or reissued
Clarify whether the displayed old date is 3 October 2025 or 3 October 2026; listing it as “2025/2026” may delay investigation.
If another platform issued it
- Employer/LTM learning portal: Contact the LTM/LMS administrator and request a completion-history export or corrected certificate. Provide the Microsoft Learn achievement URL as supporting evidence if available.
- Microsoft Essentials Professional Certificate through LinkedIn Learning: Contact LinkedIn Learning Support using its chat or Contact us option. Microsoft’s support matrix directs Essentials learning-path and certificate issues there.^3^
- Other provider: Use the support channel shown on that certificate or course page. Include the certificate URL and both completion screenshots.
Do not post account identifiers, email addresses, or unredacted screenshots publicly; attach them only to the private support case.
