Minimum Xcode version

Question

Hi,

My Visual Studio Mac Update is showing that the following updates available:

• Xamarin.iOS 15.0.0.6
• Visual Studio for Mac 8.10.11.8
• .NET SDK 5.0.402
• .NET CORE SDK 3.1.414

What is the minimum Xcode required for this? I am currently running MacOS Catalina and I don't think Xcode 13 is supported on that OS.

I don't want to upgrade just yet if Xcode 13 will need to be installed. Currently running Xcode 12

Xcode 13 minimum OS required is macOS Big Sur 11.3, Xcode13 can not be installed on this system(MacOS Catalina), you are right.
Visual Studio 2019 for Mac added support for Xcode 13 since version 8.10.10.8, Xcode13 and iOS15 SDK is necessary. If you just upgrade Visual Studio 2019 for Mac without updating XCode, I'm afraid you can't use the new features. You could keep the current stable version or upgrade it according to your business.
