Medication documents

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance and clarification regarding the medication documentation required for an NDIS participant. We are preparing to provide support with medication administration when required, as the participant’s mum is not always available to assist her.

Could someone please confirm what documents we need to obtain from the participant/family and what our organisation and support workers need to complete before we can safely and compliantly administer medication? For example, do we need a current medication chart, medication management plan, consent form, medication risk assessment, medication administration records (MAR), and specific medication training or competency assessments for support workers?

I would appreciate any guidance on the required documentation and procedures to ensure everything is in place before medication support commences.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards

I’d say this falls outside the scope of Q&A, this community.

    Have a look at:

    Or use a search engine?
