    Hello!

Before I throw solutions at you I just need a little more context.

Are you having this issue in a specific program like Microsoft Teams?

I would also like to know if the sound on your computer works fine for other things, like watching a video online or hearing regular system alerts.

Lastly, how are you trying to listen to them? Like are you using built-in computer speakers, a headset, or something plugged into the audio jack?

Just reply back with that info and we can figure out the next step.

Since the other person can hear audio from that side, the microphone path is working. The issue is the playback side on the PC or call device.

Try these steps in order on Windows 11:

    1. Check the speaker connection.
      • Make sure the speaker, headset, or camera audio device is fully plugged in.
      • If it is connected through a USB hub, connect it directly to the computer instead.
    2. Confirm the correct output device is selected.
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under sound output, make sure the intended speaker or headset is selected.
      • If using an app with its own audio device setting, verify that the same playback device is selected there.
    3. Test with another playback device.
      • Switch the call to another headset or speaker device on the computer.
      • If available, transfer the call to another device such as a mobile phone.
    4. Check whether speaker volume is too low.
      • Increase the computer speaker volume.
      • If using a headset or external speaker with its own controls, raise that volume too.
    5. Run Windows sound troubleshooting.
      • Go to Settings > System > Sound.
      • Scroll to Advanced and choose Output devices under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
      • For more options, select All sound devices under Advanced.
    6. If Windows is not detecting the audio device correctly, reinstall the audio driver.
      • Warning: uninstalling drivers temporarily removes the device until Windows reinstalls it.
      • Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device.
      • Check Attempt to remove the driver for this device and select Uninstall.
      • Restart the computer.
      • If needed, return to Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      • Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.

If multiple audio devices are active in the same room, that can also cause sound quality issues such as screeching. Muting unused microphones and speakers can help.
