How do I talk to someone for help? Online support does not solve the problem and I tried calling a number but it was automated and would not let me speak to anyone

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

May I know a little more about the issue you're experiencing? I'd appreciate it if you could provide more details or a screenshot, if available, so I can better understand the situation and help resolve the issue or direct you to the appropriate support team.

Microsoft employees don't provide support for users of their consumer software. Microsoft has hired a considerable number of outside contractors for users who feel a need to speak with someone connected to Microsoft. To speak with them you need to initiate a chat, which you can find here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

The money that we pay Microsoft is for the right to use their software. There are more than a billion users of Microsoft software all over the world. No organization can afford to support that many users for free.

I have received outstanding help from AI, and I can help you create a prompt that will result in useful information. With artificial intelligence, as when dealing with a live person, the more clearly you can express yourself, and the more relevant detail you can provide, the better an answer you'll get.

For Microsoft 365 or Office help, use one of these supported paths to reach a person:

    1. Go to the Microsoft support contact page and start with Get Help.
    2. Type a short description of the issue.
    3. If the suggested articles do not help, select Contact Support.
    4. Choose the affected product or service, then select the category that best matches the issue.
    5. Select a contact method:
      • Chat with a support agent in your web browser
      • Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you

For personal Microsoft account support, these contact options are available from the Get Help app. Availability depends on hours of operation, product, scenario, and subscription.

    For Microsoft 365 for business:

    1. Go to the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft.
    2. Select Help & support at the bottom right.
    3. Enter the issue in Support Assistant.
    4. If needed, select the Contact Support icon.
    5. Choose phone or email, confirm contact details, and select Contact me.

If phone support keeps routing to automation, chat or requesting a callback from the support flow is the documented way to reach an agent. For business support by phone, the public global phone numbers list is the current source for country or region numbers.
