Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Only Microsoft for Startups Program Support can inspect the private application record, so update the existing support request and ask whether the application can be recovered or must be deleted before reapplying with a new eligible personal Microsoft account.
Update the existing request
Because the portal sign-in already redirects to an empty Default Directory, do not create another application yet. Add the following to request 2611070030000355:
- Registered company name and country/region.
- Original application dates and the email address used to apply.
- That the application was submitted after May 29, 2026, so it used the current Azure-portal application flow.^1^
- That sign-in now resolves only to a work/school account and an Azure Default Directory.
- Screenshots of the redirect and the empty subscription/status page.
- Confirmation that no Azure credits or other Azure offers were redeemed.
- A request for Support to determine:
- Whether an active, pending, approved, declined, or expired startup record exists.
- Which identity is attached to it.
- Whether any supported account-recovery path exists.
- If recovery is unavailable, whether the record must be deleted or closed before a new application is submitted.
- Whether the Azure case can be routed to Microsoft for Startups Program Support.
If the Azure support route cannot reach Program Support, use the documented Program Support endpoint:
https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal
Microsoft documents the Azure portal as the place where post-May-2026 applicants see application status and submit support requests. A pending investor-path application normally displays a yellow review banner; approval normally occurs within about three business days, although verification can take longer.^2^
No one on a public Q&A forum can inspect or confirm the company’s application status.
Account recovery and transfer limitations
A Microsoft personal account and a Microsoft Entra work/school account are separate identity types. Their information is not synchronized, so an organizational account cannot simply be converted into or synchronized with a personal Microsoft account.^3^
The current startup offer requires a new eligible personal Microsoft account. Work/school accounts are unsupported. Eligible examples include Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, Gmail registered as a Microsoft account, or a personal-domain address that is not organization-managed. The account must not previously have been associated with Azure Free Trial, Azure for Students, another startup offer, or another Azure sponsorship/promotional offer.^4^
Support must determine whether the existing startup record can be recovered; the documentation does not guarantee that an application can be transferred between identities.
Conditional self-service reapplication
If an application-submission confirmation email was received and it shows that the application remains pending:
- Open that confirmation email.
- Use its link to delete the pending application.
- Create a new eligible personal Microsoft account.
- Reapply while signed in only with that personal account.
- If NVIDIA supplied a valid 10-character investor referral code, enter it on the investor-code path; otherwise select Continue without a code.^1^
A submitted application cannot be edited. Microsoft’s documented self-service option for a pending application is to delete it through the confirmation email and reapply.^4^
If that email is unavailable, the status is unknown, or deletion fails, continue with Program Support rather than submitting another application. If Support confirms that the application was declined, reapplication may be available after 14 days.^4^
Activation-window request
Startup credits must be activated within 90 days after accepting the program agreement. If they are not activated, the offer expires and the documented path is to reapply; unused-credit extensions are not available.^4^ Support can establish whether an offer was actually approved and when its activation period began, but the published policy does not provide an extension.
