Hello - We use MECM (SCCM) Current Branch. We have set some software titles to require admin approval. That works fine. However we need to have an approver do so after they get the email to approve or deny. We have yet to setup email notifications

MS Doc on how to implement: app-approval

There are two choices, setup email notification for users on the internet or in-house on an internal network. We have CMG with internet clients on VPN back to the office. When in office, the VPN is disabled and they are on the local network. Not really sure which scenario to go with. Does it even matter? Perhaps either is a different setup road to the same end result?

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

    Hi, @net1994
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1.To send email notifications and take action on internal network
Recipients receive an email with notification of the request, but can only approve or deny the request from the email when they are on the internal network.

    2.To take action from internet
Recipients can approve or deny the request from anywhere they have internet access.

If you have the requirement to approve or deny the request from anywhere, you may configure to take action from internet.
