Can't log in into Azure virtual desktop - Azure Joined

Hello,

I have a problem with connecting RDP session to VM using Azure Virtual Desktop. I configured Azure Virtual Desktop environment, assigned VM to user.

When try to use web browser or Microsoft RDP client on Mac (using workspaces link) all is good. I am able to log in, discover assigned VM, I see resource (VM) but when try to click and connect, no luck. Simply says that my username is wrong and that is.

My credentials are 100% correct (use them everywhere, I even try to change password) but no luck. Constantly says wrong username or password.

VMs are AzureAD joined and registered in Intune. I see them there, everything looks ok, just I can't log in. I am using my UPN for log in, tried with AzureAD\UPN, then .\AzureAD\UPN etc. Nothing works.

Any hints?

You have mentioned that you are trying to use the Mac RDP client and the browser on Mac . By any chance have you tried using windows machine to access the same Azure Virtual desktop instance ? Can you verify if the following pre-requisites have been met . If you are using AzureAD\UPN please make sure that the user is added to the local remote desktop users category using the cmd. net localgroup "Remote Desktop Users" /add "AzureAD\the-UPN-attribute-of-your-user" . If you have done all of this and it still does not work then we would start with checking the security logs on the machine you are trying to logon and it would require a deeper troubleshooting.

I found what a problem was: we are forcing MFA. So we disable it and now we require it trough conditional access. Now it is ok.
