updates are failing

Hi all
i am trying to install windows updates on one of my Windows Server 2012R2 server and updates are failing.
if i remove staged updates using below syntax and try to install windows updates will the updates gets installed.

Get-WindowsPackage -Online | where { $.PackageState -eq 'Staged'} | foreach { Remove-WindowsPackage -PackageName $.PackageName -Online -NoRestart }

I think they are supposed to fail, given what you are trying to do.

For your knowledge, the command which @Roger Roger used is totally legit and if you re-read the message then you will see that the he claimed that the fail was when he did NOT used this but when he tried to use the default installation with all features.

@Roger Roger , I am not familiar with the topic but I am sure that one of the windows experts will join the discussion soon and try to help. I came here for administrative reasons following the activities of @Jess Tompkins and I noticed he added a comment. In the mean time please provide the exact error message which you get and a screenshot. This should help to understand the issue probably

Hi @Roger Roger i am having a similar issue that having a patch which is security update as staged and unable to push patch from patch management server, did removing staged patch help you resolve the issue afterwards is that how your initial issue was resolved...

@Roger - what was the fix?? did removing the staged packages with:

Get-WindowsPackage -Online | where { $.PackageState -eq 'Staged'} | foreach { Remove-WindowsPackage -PackageName $.PackageName -Online -NoRestart }
