Bootable Windows 10 or 11 flash drives can be used when Windows fails to boot.
There are menu options to remove updates, run system restore, run startup repair, run manual commands, etc.
There are better methods to protect important files:
a) backup important files to another disk drive and / or the cloud
b) use third party software to make free or pay backup images
