When i run Windows Desktop client latest version on Windows 2019 Server the login to the rdc repetedly request for username password and gives a red line the logon attempt failed.
When i run Windows Desktop client latest version on Windows 10 i can login to the rdc with no problems.
Is the Windows Desktop Client supported by Microsoft to run on the Windows 2019 server platform? Or is there any setting in the AVD environment that is currently not correct?

Yes, the MSRDC client is supported on Windows Server 2019. Here is the document for reference.
Are you trying to connect to an AAD joined VM, or a VM that is AD joined?
Th VM (Windows 10 21H1 Enterprise) is AD joined. Is there any difference between the connection methods AAD joined or AD joined?
In our connection tries there is a great difference in the clients behavier when logging in on a Windows 10 PC, a Windows 10 IOT TS-Client or in a terminals server session on a Windows 2019 server.
On Windows 10, no problem to login without any error indications.
On Windows 10 IOT we have to disable the option "Allow my organisation to manage my PC", error message two times logging with MFA and finaly in dashboard and connecting to rdc.
On Windows 2019 we have to disable the option "Allow my organisation to manage my PC", dashboard, connecting to RDC resulting in login loop with message "the logon attemt failed"
The VM is AD joined.
When connected by AVD client on windows 10 no problems signing on to the RDC
When signing in with Win 10 IOT Thin Client, logging in to the dashboard gives error and second login with MFA, continuing aftrer second error message entering the dashboard and able to connect with RDC.
When signingin with Win 2019, logging in to the dashboard gives error and gives dashboard after continuing. Not able to connect with RDC and repeating login with message "The logon attemt failed".

Do you have conditionally access policies in place that enforce only access from managed devices or specific operating systems?
