I have some old C# code made with VS2008 way back in time !

I now need to visit this code again and de some changes and code new projects.

What the best practive for doing that - should I install the original VS2008 CD

Can I use these free Express versions / VS 2019 ?

I recommend using Visual Studio 2019 community edition or even better yet get Visual Studio 2022,

    Some benefits are

    • Better IDE helpers for code suggestions/refactoring
    • Faster than former versions of Visual Studio
    • GitHub available within Visual Studio
    • Newer versions of C# if you care to take advantage of the new versions or stick with your current version
