Cannot access Azure Synapse DWH on portal, "The resource was not found" error

When I access synapse Datawarehouse on a portal the resource not found error happening.
But I am still using data explorer and data factory to connect to this DWH

The detailed error as below:

The resource was not found, it may have been deleted. If this was launched from a pinned tile on the dashboard, it should be removed. Resource ID: /subscriptions/<subscription id>/resourceGroups/Jarvis-DataOps/providers/Microsoft.Sql/servers/<server name>/databases/<db name> Status Code: 404 Status Message: The Resource 'Microsoft.Sql/servers/<server name>/databases/<db name>l' under resource group '<Resource group>' was not found. For more details please go to https://aka.ms/ARMResourceNotFoundFix

Does anyone know how to fix or any way to contact MS about this error?

I think the problem is not about portal, maybe some metadata has been broken.
I check by using powershell to list up database like this:

$lstDB=Get-AzureRmSqlDatabase -ResourceGroupName $rsg -ServerName $server.ServerName
$db=$lstDB[0]

then I retried get this db
Get-AzureRmSqlDatabase -ResourceGroupName $db.ResourceGroupName -ServerName $db.ServerName -DatabaseName $db.DatabaseName

Error:
Get-AzSqlDatabase: The Resource 'Microsoft.Sql/servers/<server>/databases/<database>' under resource group '<resource group> was not found. For more details please go to https://aka.ms/ARMResourceNotFoundFix

you can see my attached image that I can indirectly get informations of db through the list database of server

Thanks for sharing additional details. There is a known issue with the XX-AzSqlDatabase Powershell module when working with Synapse pools in a workspace.

There is a different set of cmdlets for Synapse and resources in the workspace as in below URL. Please check using these and let us know your findings and we will be glad to assist further.

I tried using azure powershell the command you reference is for Synapse analytics, I am using Synapse (Former DWH ) which don't have workspace
So I tried with Get-AzSqlDatabase

Get-AzSqlDatabase <ResouceGroupName> <Servername>
-> I can list up that database

Get-AzSqlDatabase <ResouceGroupName> <Servername> <Databasename>
-> Error, [Get-AzSqlDatabase: The Resource 'Microsoft.Sql/servers/<server>/databases/<database>' under resource group '<resourcegroup>' was not found.]

I tried using az cli but it the same issues, I can list it from server but cannot access to database cause not found error, whould you might check at back-end, I think the root cause that is the meta-data has been broken

Thanks for sharing additional details. I tried using Get-AzSqlDatabase for Synapse DWH and was able to fetch the details in our subscription . Sorry that you are experiencing the issue, this seems a strange issue. Can you please check passing * to the keyword in the beginning and end to check if database can be retrieved as below.

Get-AzSqlDatabase -ServerName test1510 -ResourceGroupName xxxx -DatabaseName *test*

In your Azure portal check your subscription if you are pointing to right one in which Synapse DWH is created.

Please check activity logs in portal if you see any recent activities on this resource

Was this ADW resource moved to some other group? If yes, try to go to Subscription > RG > and search the resource

Other option is to search for the resource directly in Azure portal search box (Enable all the subscription so that it checks for the resources in all subscriptions)

It's better if you raise a support ticket with Microsoft and get it clarified. They might take a look at back end and fix it if there is some issue
