Is there a possibility to integrate Microsoft Identity Manager with Azure Active Directory? I have a MIM 2013 and I want to integrate the Microsoft Identity Manager with Azure AD or Azure. Just wanted to know if at all it is possible and if yes what are the steps associated with it?

For MIM 2013 I don't know but for MIM 2016 it's possible to have this integration via graph :

What are you trying to achieve ? If it's user provisioning you should look for Azure AD Connect

I believe that Azure AD is better to have in these circumstances. What is the recommendation from Microsoft in this case?

Based on Microsoft article the recommendation is to use Azure AD Connect :
