UWP Application is Hanging and Crashing

UWP application is Hanging when the progress ring is running(Scanning the data) and when the app is minimized and maximized again

After some time its crashing.

Any help will be appreciated

it looks the scanning was broken when you minimized app. but it was not resume after maximized. and have you tried suspend the scanning when app minimized.

Actually this does not help in my app.

In my app we am scan all the files in Documents folder (All levels) so when app is minimized also my scan should be progressing and on the maximize of the app the UI should be responsive

The code is return in 2 functions in 1 page

1st function will retrieve all the Files and Folders in the (Documents folder level) and for folders it goes to 2nd function
2nd function will retrieve all the Files and Folders in that level and for folders the same function will be recalled(2nd function)

So if we write await in both the function so that it will be responsive but
2nd function await will just return back to first function await so the scan is missed

Ok, fine, if app minimized cause this problem. you could also refer to Postpone app suspension with extended execution document keep scan when app minimized.
