Why dotnet framework 4.8 is not listed in windows feature even after it is installed?

Hello Tech gurus, 

     I have got dotnet framework installed in my windows server 2016 standard but still it is not listed in windows feature (instead 4.6 is being shown).

One of answer at some community platform said that : -

"NET 4.8 is an update for the built-in .NET 4.6 in build 14393, it does not change the features nameswhen you enable ASP.NET 4.6, it will enable ASP.NET 4.8 underneath".

Can anyone confirm if it is correct?

    What's your windows version? Windows 10 1909 later? If not,I suggest you could get up the version 1909 if not later.
