Thanks for reporting it.
I have looked into the backend logs and I can see that there was Internal error during the time when you have performed the operation. The notification (running from 30 min ago) should show as failed as there was an internal error at the backend.
Service Bus Explorer from azure portal is still in the preview and I do understand that there might be some issue and doesn't have a great experience. I will reach out to my team to look into this and we will make sure that service bus explorer from azure portal have the same experience as a desktop client: https://github.com/paolosalvatori/ServiceBusExplorer
