I have been using Proxima Nova font for years on all my documents and today it was no longer available. Is this a temporary issue or was the font removed from MS products?

I spent around an hour on the phone and the tech took control of my computer and still could not figure it out, but he mentioned that the person who created the document must have had the font and that it does not come with Word. After we were off the phone it clicked and I opened Font Book, clicked on the font and it is fixed. I checked my other Macs and I think when I updated to the new OS that it disabled the font. It was a fix that took seconds after I thought about it enough. Now I am happy. Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Jason Litalien ,

I had the same issue, and came across your query on this feed. It seemed to happen when I updated my OS to Monterey recently. I've always used it in Word, but it just disappeared.

After trying a few things, it seemed to come back once I had closed and re-opend all my Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel & Word).

Anyways, thought it helpful for anyone else with the same issue.

    Cheers!

Proxima Nova appears to be an Adobe font. See https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/proxima-nova.

    Hi @Jason Litalien ,
    Welcome to Q&A forum!

Which version of Office are you using?
According to your description, I checked and I did not find the Proxima Nova font in Word 365, Word 2019, Word 2016 and Word 2013.
Per my research, as StefanBlom-6438 said, it is an Adobe font.
    Thanks for your understanding.

If possible, I suggest you compare with other users' Office to check this issue.
Besides, I also suggest that you contact Microsoft directly to confirm this.

Any updates, please let me know.
