Autoupdate Columns based off of other columns

I have date columns with data in sharepoint and a total column if I change data in one of the date columns how can I have the total column auto update based off of the changes I made?

What is the relationship between the date column and the total column? If possible, please provide a screenshot of your list with information about the column value. Also please tell us how all the columns interact with each other. In that way I can create a same list in my end and try to get a solution for you.
