hi
i have a CollectionView that has SwipeView

Is there a way to change the content of the swipview based on the type of the item ?
i could use a DataTemplateSelector for the collectionView but i don't want to repeat the SwipeView Left and right items.

im building an attachment view control , i want to change the control based on the file type ( image , video / file ... ) , the rest of
swipe items are the same

Based on your Contentview's code, do you want to change the Image and Label's content based on the file type ( image , video / file ... )? If so, we can expose the Bindable Properties, If the types is different, we can change the binding value in the ContentView.

ive tried binding the SwipeView content like

Content="{Binding ., Converter={StaticResource AttachmentFileTypeConverter}}"

and use the converter to return the appropriate Content , but nothing happen , the converter did called at all
any ideas ?

Can you share completely code about the AttachmentFileTypeConverter?

The Problem is that the code never reaches this converter , i mean if i had a break point her , it will never hit

Based on your code, I think you want to achieve the DataTemplateSelector not the IValueConverter like this thread. You extend the IValueConverter not DataTemplateSelector for your AttachmentFileTypeConverter.cs .

i didnt fallow , can i use DataTemplateSelector with SwipeView ?
the linked thread uses DataTemplateSelector for the collectionView ,that mean i have to duplicate the SwipeView for each template.

i've tried

I am afraid you do not use DataTemplateSelector for swipeview, because swipeview do not have ItemTemplate property, If you use IValueConverter, but IValueConverter cannot return layout or datatemplate, So please create two datatemplates(with swipteview) for Collectionview
