Hi -

I just moved my app service (and related service plan) to a new resources group under the same subscription. I followed the instruction here (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/management/move-limitations/app-service-move-limitations#move-with-free-managed-certificates) to delete and recreate the free Azure managed certificate. However, the newly created certificate is still showing in the old resources group, not in the newly moved resources group. I have also tried to recreate the certificate by moving the app service plan back to the original resources group with no success (as suggested in the documentation).

How can I recreate the free managed certificate in the new resources group? Thanks for your help!

    Hi @Frederick Wong ,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is odd behavior. Are you getting any errors? did already you bind your cert to a custom domain in the old resource group?

As the doc mentioned "You can't move a free App Service managed certificate. " If you don't need the old resource group try deleting it and create a new free managed certificate in the new resources group.

If you have further questions. please let us know.

    Hope that helps.

    Best,
    Grace
