Duplicated VMID in Hyper-V

Good afternoon. I have a problem with a Hyper-V cluster. A VM clone with the same ID as the original VM was accidentally imported. It turned out two VMs in the same cluster with the same ID. How can I delete an imported VM from the cluster (for reimport) if turning off one VM turns off the second VM as well? Will the original VM be deleted if you try to delete a clone? Please help me. Thanks.

    Hi @1 1 ,

I would firstly make sure that you have backups available for the original VM.

Even though the VMs have the same IDs, turning off one won't turn off the other, you should be safe to turn off the duplicated (imported) VM and then delete it.

    1. No it will harm if you turn off any of them.
    2. You can safely remove VM with duplicate SID.
