Hi,

I can virtualize up to two Windows VMs on a Windows Standard server as per the documentation.

But I was told that no function or feature can be installed on the host server.

But if I have applications developed and running as windows services, but they are not functions or features, can I use it?

Thank you.

You can but running other roles, applications or processes on host takes away one of the two Operating System Environments

    Hi,
As far as I know, for standard edition, you could create many VMs, but only activate two VMs.
According to your description, after running two VMs , the host (physical) server can't add function or feature.
I found this information in the offical pdf file.
When a customer is running all allowed virtual instances, the physical instance may be used only to manage and service the virtual instances. For information
