@Siva Adding more information to @SadiqhAhmed-MSFT , If you need to perform test the failover this option is recommended for the scenario. You can create a test file share( Under Azure file share account) and delete only the test file share.
Recovery vault -> Click on Backup -> Select Azure File share -> Select Azure Storage account -> Select File share to Backup -> You can create a New policy (Backup scheduled) --> Enable Backup
- Go to Azure Recovery Vault -> Backup item -> Select Azure Storage files -> Check the Azure file share is reflecting (test file share) under file share and also perform manual backup.
- Then Go to Backup alert option -> Configure the Notification ( Select all) and also perform manual backup.
- Delete the File share (test file share) , Failover Email will be triggered with a minute(based on your bandwidth).
Note: We need delete the resource lock( since it's in the protection)
