Hi

While vm backup is in application consistence, do we get suitation like restore is "dirty shutdown"?

we have successful backup with application consistency, but after restore vm is not able to boot, it is taking more time for boot the server. some wmi writers are retry some validation. can any one suggestion, while backups are good still we will face "dirty shutdown". then how could we believe that, we have good backup with us.

Application consistent backup promises the application running inside the machine is also backed up gracefully with the snapshot level backup that was taken, for example, if it is a SQL installed inside the machine....even SQL will get backed up and you will see a freeze and thaw of application which ensures the application is also aware of the backup.

It will be a good idea to inspect what happened on the machine which has put it into dirty shut state by engaging Windows Experts. Please contact support team by raising a support request.
