The Windows Server Essentials Connector fails with "Cannot connect this Computer to the Network" error when executed from a WIndows 11 Pro PC.
Windows Server Essentials 2016 role is installed on Windows Server 2016 Standard, with all Windows updates installed.
Windows 11 computer added manually to domain, need a workaround to add the computer to the Server Essentials Dashboard.

I started with local account, added to domain thru advanced system setting, reboot, successfully ran connector software. Everything seems to work well with one exception. The client backup service won't touch a Windows 11 system disk. It quickly reads 'failed' at 1%. With it being so quick, I thought maybe it was a firewall setting or the like. After trying a few things I thought to create a partition on the system disk to run a test. When I ran the backup for the new partition on the disk where Windows 11 resides, it backed up fine but still wouldn't touch the partition with the system. The disk is a Samsung 980 Pro on a Z690 board. The backup service works well for the other disks on the machine. Any thoughts?

    Hi there,

Can you try these steps and see if they are helpful

Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

Locate and then click to select the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

After you select the subkey that is specified in step 2, right-click PendingFileRenameOperations, and then click Delete.

Locate and then click to select the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update

After you select the key that is specified in step 4, right-click RebootRequired, and then click Delete.

On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

    Restart the computer.
