Old chats are not visible in Teams client

Question

Old chats (approx older 60 days) are not visible in Teams client (web and desktop).

A user can still find messages from those chats using search but would like to have it in chats list in Teams client.

Is there any limit for displaying chats list in Teams client?

Please check if your organization has set the retention policy for Teams chat. Retention policies are created by your organization. They manage how long data is stored in the Microsoft apps you use. In Teams, these policies decide how long messages show in a chat or channel. For more details about how to check it, you could refer to this part.
